Fish the Wilderness area of the ESVA
Fly Fishing Charters
Come fish the Eastern Shore or Bayside of Virginia for some of the most exciting experiences of your life. From sightfishing redfish to casting to bait-busting striped bass.
The seaside area from Cape Charles to Oyster is a vast area of flats that keep the normal fisherman away for fear of getting stuck in the shallow water. Our custom-built flats boat with a jet drive and experience in the area will keep you safe and on the fish of a lifetime.
Captain Denny has been a flyfishing enthusiast since childhood, as captured in his book "The Quest for Salinity," where he tells a tale of starting a life of fly fishing at the early age of twelve years old.
Starting with fishing for freshwater fish to the life he now prefers guiding sportsmen and women to saltwater species found on the shore.
Starting sometime in April when the Striped Bass School along the bayside and/or the bull Reds come onto seaside flats right on through the fall when the Redfishing is world class.
I have over 40 years of experience on the Eastern Shore.
About the Captain
Fly Fishing Only
Flyfishing for redfish is my main offering with fishing for Striped Bass in the Bay, a second.
My trips mostly run 6 hours, with staying a bit longer when needed being common.
New fly fishermen are more than welcome, and instruction is included when wanted, its common to hide in a cove and go over
some casting or stripping skills during slow times.
Experienced fisherfolks will find the fishing world class, as we lived and fished Florida for 5 years besides my wife having a tackle shop and never had Red fishing this good.

"The Beast," as she is known, is a rugged 20' Sea Ark built with a jet tunnel to get us where we need to be. It's not uncommon to fly across the flats in less than 4" of water.
She is equipped with a fore and aft trolling motor and a platform on the bow made for catching fly line before it catches everything else"
